Great news for the committed to noncommittal age - tattoo ink that erases easy. Well at least easier. The new ink is stored in microscopic capulettes placed permanently under the skin. To remove it requires only one laser treatment, far less than the multiple treatments needed currently. And less painful. About 36% of people between the ages of 18 to 29 get inked in the US nowadays., and we all know plenty that live to regret it (anyone remember Johnny Depp changing his tattoo "Winona" to "Wino" when love forever came up a bit short?) There is a catch though. The new ink will be much more expensive. Now who didn't see that one coming? And you gotta wonder what's the daredevil point of getting a tattoo if you aren't stuck with it for life? What kind of a rebel are you anyway? Personally, I never got the whole tattoo trend. Isn't branding for cows?

I have to agree with you, branding is for cows.
Somewhere along the line people have decided tatoos are "hip" and "cool". You are talking about permanently coloring your skin for crying out loud. And for what? To make a fashion statement?!? The logic escapes me.
I would have thought people would exercise more wisdom instead of following every whim of society. At least 64% of the population hasn't drank of this particular flavor of Kool-Aid.

I'm guessing logic isn't playing a part in it. But at least with the permanent ink your making a statement (albeit an arguable lame one). With removable ink, what's the staement?
