Don't Want To Buy A digital TV? LG's Got You Covered
Who could blame you if you didn't want to run down to your local Costco to get the latest Visio Flat Screen. You've got a Sony Tube TV and it works just fine, and it's only been three years since you spent a grand for that glorious 42' tube.
That just makes you one of the twelve that really got upset when they announced the mandatory switch to digital. Well in case you've been under a rock, the government in a rare moment of benevolence, announced a $40 coupon to help ease your transition. (That's a hundred mile drive in a SUV). To go along with that coupon, LG has announced a digital converter box certified by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
You'll have to settle for government cheese features like options for 4:3- or 16:9-ratio, closed captioning, V-Chip parental control and Fred Flinstones RF/composite outputs. But that's okay, if you want a flat widescreen, HD, full surround sound experience, you'll got to the movies right!
