Toshiba has Recalled 142,000 AC Adapters sold with portable DVD players because of a burn hazard. The adapters can fail and cause the DVD to overheat and burn up. No reports of injuries have been reported, but a few unsuspecting DVD's have suffered third degree burns.
The model number SDP 1600 ADPV16 is the model in question.
Of course, the adapters are made in China.
