The Apple Tablet: Do You Believe?

Apple_tablet_concept This one is starting to enter the "Bigfoot" realm. Cnet.co.uk has peeked from under the covers to whisper "I see Apple Tablets" According to them it's on the way soon. They say they have word from a secret spy at Asus who says he/she is working with Apple to build it.

I still find this extremely hard to believe. Could they do it? Of course. Should they do it? Why. What's the benefit? Tablets still do not have enough market share to warrant the kind of resources it would take to manufacture and service a such a complicated device.

AppleTV, which is a great Apple product, sits on the shelves because the demand for its capabilities is just not there yet. The Mac Mini, gone. Folks who by Mac want big powerful machines. The iPhone 4gb, gone. Why get 4 when you can get 8. Get the picture? It just doesn't seem feasible that Apple would spin it's wheels on something that's going to have a very minimal return, if any at all.

But I can be wrong, and you can keep wishing. For now we'll just have to add this to the list. Roswell, BigFoot, Blair Witch, Apple Tablet.
