Microsoft Counterfeiter Sentenced To Prison With A Zune

Huang Jer-sheng was put in a Taiwan prison for 4 years last month for being the largest known counterfeiter of Microsoft software in the world.

Huang sold fake Microsoft goods to resellers in countries like: Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Croatia, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Paraguay, Philippines, Poland, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Trinidad and Tobago, the UK, and the US, pretty much everywhere.

Huang was not alone, his accomplices got sentences from 18 months to 3 years. Microsoft is pleased as punch about the sentence and is very happy to have folks making $500 million on fakes of their products off the streets.

For all those who can't afford Windows Xp SP2, not so much.
