Commercials have become as much about the Superbowl as the the two teams that are playing the actual game. Since the race for the "funniest" commercial came into to view, the quality of them has gone down year after year. You can always count on a bevy of Budweiser ads. These in my opinion are always horrible year after year. This year was no exception. In fact, I think this was the worst year yet. But someway, somehow, they always get voted the best.
I guess it's the same people that thought Jerry Seinfield's stand up was funny. Or better yet, those crowds of folks laughing their butts off at a Dane Cook routine while your sitting there going "What in the hell are they laughing at?"
But, there were a few funny ones, and in my opinion two well done ads. The Sobe commercials with the Lizards dancing to "Thriller" was well done, and excuse me for this all you intelligent women reading this, but looking at Naomi Campbell strut and kick is a winning captivating combination.
The Charles Barkley T-Mobile commercial was both funny and well done. The gigantic refrigerator and his inane phone banter was both very well realized, and funny as hell.
Which brings me to the one and only ad that made me laugh out loud. The "Tide" talking stain ad was simply genius. If you've ever spilled something on your shirt while out doing something considered "important", the ad tells it exactly how you feel it.
Watch it below. What was your favorite ad, or did you think they all sucked. The Budweiser ads certainly did.
