In a stunning move that will once again assure another clean GOP wipeout in the next elections, republicans have just staged a walkout out of the House because the Democratic Majority wants to bring up a fight against Harriet Miers and the whole dust up of Bush administration cronies who covered up the firing a attorneys. Basically doing what Americans voted them in there to do, hold people accountable.
The Republicans and the Bush administration want the congress to push through the FISA act to ensure your phone can still be tapped.
IMHO, what you have at this moment is this administration doing what it does best, trying to scare the hell out of Americans so they can run a campaign based upon keeping you safe. They've got an extremely weak candidate and they know it, so they will be pushing the envelope.
The Government has and has always had the ability to get retroactive warrants to listen in on your phone calls.
