This is the kind of story that turns me into judge, jury and executioner all at once. John D.R. Atchison, was arrested in Detroit Metropolitan Airport as he made is way to have sex with a 5 year old girl. The 53 year-old man carried on an online chat with officials posing as a mother who wanted to let men have sex with her daughter.
--- "I'm always gentle and loving; not to worry; no damage ever; no rough stuff ever ever,"---Excerpts from an affidavit.
This human waste faces up to 40 years in prison. But we all know he won't get that. He would if he were caught with some drugs on him. A few weeks back I did a post about "To catch a Preditor", a show that I think is great. I was surprised to get comments from folks saying the show violates rights and sets people up.
But the statments made by this guy, and like many on that show that he has done this before and would/will do it again. How in the world do you defend this? If you are online chatting with kids about sex, kids that let you know they are kids, and you're talking sex or even what their fashion sense is (hell, why are you chatting with kids at all) you are sick and need to be put in a dark dungeon until you die. There is no "setup". The person is not being forced to carry on these conversations, nor are they forced to get on a plane from Florida to Detroit. Read
These stories really get to me.
