The Patriots: So Much For The Cheating Theory

First of all, if you think last Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and New York Jets was the first time a team cheated to get the edge against an opponent, you're crazy. They just got caught.

But, just because this has been going on forever, it doesn't make it okay. At first I thought the penalty didn't fit the crime, but after listening to Goodell talk about it with Bob Costas, I think he made a pretty good point. Take a teams 1st and 2nd round draft pick away and that will deter a lot of bad NFL behavior.

Of course it is a shame to see a three time SuperBowl team get caught up in something like this because it chips away at the acomplishment. But, well umm, I think the Patriots just shut a lot of that talk up. They just destroyed the San Diego Chargers 38 to 14. DESTROYED.

But remember kids, cheaters never win.
