In the real world anybody that pleads guilty is guilty, and for someone who studies the laws, makes the laws and enforces the laws, such as a Senator, they should know the Law.
Any Politician worth his weight in kick backs knows there is no such thing as a cover up when it comes to scandals involving sex. Those always make it to the surface. Sex and racism always come back to haunt a Politician one way or another. The fact that this man pleaded guilty, 3 months after the charge speaks soundly to his knowledge of the law and it's possible repercussion. He had plenty of time to think and research his decision. He had plenty of time to seek private counsel with client-attorney privacy laws that would have protected him. This man is a Senator of the United States. Are we to believe he does not have a lawyer friend to whom he could have confided in for guidence? NO. Continue
