I've used this one for so long and so much that I forget that it doesn't come as a native app in Tiger. ASM is a very, very good customizable app switch menu That you use on your menu bar.
I don't use the dock. The dock is one of those things that was great when I first started using OSX, but I quickly got annoyed with it popping up every time I moved my mouse too close to it. The ole "command>tab" is a great way to switch from app to app, but I love a good menu function.
ASM brings back the Classic OS's menu switching, but quicker and easier to get to. If you haven't tried this one yet, i suggest giving it a spin.
Product Description:
ASM is the reincarnation of the application switcher menu. It's highly customizable and offers some nice extra features, such as "Classic Window Mode" (orders all windows of an application to front when it becomes active) or "Single Application Mode" (automatically hides applications other than the front-most one).
