The CIA videotaped hours upon hours of interrogations they conducted with terror suspects in 2002. But oh, what's this? The CIA destroyed them? Yup, three years later. CIA Director Hayden says they didn't want them to leak out and the identities of the interrogators to be seen. Yeah, that sounds about right.
But according to Hayden all is well because a CIA watchdog group watched the tapes first, they found that all was on the up and up so it was A-okay to go ahead and destroy them. The CIA started filming after Bush gave harsh interrogation which includes the controversial "waterboarding" technic the thumbs up.
But we don't do that. If it was on the up and up why destroy the tapes? If they were ever to be played for the public, the faces would be blacked out, we've all seen that done a million times.
