If you've read anything on CES over the past few days then you already know that there was really nothing better than the Sony HD panel TV. This is the 27' prototype. It's so thin you can stand next to it and not even know it's there. Okay, that's a bit of a reach, but man this thing is sweet.
What I found most remarkable was, If you take a look at the angle in this shot, imagine stepping back a bit further so that you get less of the full view. At that angle you still get a full view of the screen, almost like you are watch it face on. I don't know how to explain it, the image is so crisp and clean that the screen is viewable at just about any angle.
* Full HD panel (1920x1080)
* Incredibly slim 10mm panel
* Over 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio
* High brightness
* Blazing Fast response time
* Exceptional color reproduction
* Super Top Emission
Here are the thin 11" guys. Sorry for the blurry pics. I don't have the best camera and as you can imagine this was the most popular place in the entire convention hall, so I got bumped every single time I took a shot.
These guys are running out the door for around $2,500, which is a lot of money for an 11" television, I don't care how thin it is.
But there is no doubt that this is advanced technology at its finest.
I want to see G.E.'s new roll-like process for manufacturing OLED material. It could be used for lighting and “paper-thin” OLED TV’s.
