India Doesn't Want Your Dollar. Really, they don't want it!

I can't wait to hear the Shaun Hannity spin on this one....On second, yes I can. The Indian Tourist council says Indian tourist sites will no longer except the American dollar. That's right "My fellow Americans", the new slogan in India is "got a buck, outta luck".

The dollar has fallen so low against the Indian Rupee that according to India, it no longer makes sense to except it. Bet you never thought you'd hear that. If you don't believe me, ask the person on the other end of that customer service center you need to call, you know the one. The one for the "American" company you are paying a monthly fee to like, oh let's say, Sprint. Not that Sprint is alone in this, just about every major company I've called in the last year has their customer service center based in India.

Is this one of those jobs Americans just won't do? I thought we Americans loved to sit on our butts all day and talk on the phone. I don't know folks, I haven't been on this planet all that long, but I never thought I would see the day when a country would be turning down the dollar while taking care of that overage on my bill.

The dollar has fallen to a 9 year low to the Indian Rupee, coming in at around 39 rupees to the dollar. Oh Taj Mahal, I barely knew thee.
