The final touches have been applied to the Bush Administration sponsored, Stimulus Plan, as Congress has agreed 81-16 in favor of the $170 million plan. Democrats had to drop their demand that the proposal offer jobless benefits and heating aid for the poor and tax breaks for certain industries. However, GOP senators agreed to add rebates for older people and disabled veterans, this is a decent compromise. Feeling stimulated this morning? As an avid enemy of all things "coffee", I needed a swift kick to get me going before my morning workout. Thanks for reminding me I can now afford an HD TV, a few Asus EEEs, an iPhone with a two year data plan or a small savings account for my grandkids when they are stuck with the deficit we have created. Sighs, never mind, I think I'll stay in bed. Will someone put a diet coke on my lamp stand?
