SanDisk is showing off their new
SanDisk's FlashBack Adapter at the CeBIT show this week.
"The inexpensive ($29.99) flash-based card plugs into a notebook's
ExpressCard slot -- so securely, in fact, that it's not visible from
the outside world. The device will go on sale sometime in the second
quarter, SanDisk said."
Features:
* ExpressCard compliant, 34mm version
* SD/SDHC slot
* Slides completely inside your notebook ExpressCard slot - always leave it in
* Folders and files are automatically and continuously backed up immediately
* Encrytion to protect backed up files against unauthorized access
* Restore individual files and folders or all files at once
* Restore data from the SD(HC) card on any other PC with Windows
* Deleted files & folders will be kept for up to 30 days on the backup card before permanent deletion
* Extra product through secured online storage for nominal use. Access your critical files safely through encrypted channels from any PC with an internet connection
This sounds like a cool little tool, as it backs up and encrypts as you work, making backing up while mobile very easy.
