As reported by PCworld, the top ten QWERTY smartphones are discussed and numbered.
In at number 6, The Palm Centro. Like most list that give the Centro the nod, the reason is mainly die to Sprint's EVDO speeds and the low cost of the device.
In at number 1, the Blackberry Curve 8320 on T-Mobile.
In at number 4, the iPhone. I feel like with most list of this kind, the iPhone comes in 4th simply due to it's friendship with AT&T.
Check out the full list. If you don't see your device don't worry, you like it and that's all that counts.
No, damn it, that's not what counts at all! I like it so everybody else *must* like it too! Resistance is futile! :)
Although, technically, since the Sprint Mogul and T-Mobile Wing are basically the same phone, it means that my phone comes in at #2, which proves that most people do agree and like it too.
Take *that*, Apple scum!

Apple Scum!!??? Apple Scum? Me thinks that's a bit rough. I don't have a iPhone...yet. But every time I play with one, "I" find it to be the coolest mobile device I've ever seen. One thing that should be taken into consideration. The iPhone is basically brand new, on one carrier and in only one variety. But it made it to number 4, and it's steadily eating away at every other manufacture even with it's high price. How many handsets is WM on?

I know you were! I nudged back at you!! But, I do think that the iPhones short accomplishments have to be applauded even if it's not one's cup o tea. Even I applauded Microsoft for Windows XP/SP2. It's the best OS they've ever done, and I'm comfortable whenever I have to use it.

Actually, you make a good point about the iPhone, despite my hatred of all things Apple.
The iPhone does two things for the smartphone market:
1) It forces Microsoft and RIM to work harder and improve their own devices and software. The iPhone web browser is single-handedly the most innovative development the mobile world has seen, and Apple did a good job with it. Microsoft has some catch-up to do, but I know they will. RIM, I have no idea, they don't even have touch devices yet, so who knows. This brings me to point #2...
2) It promotes touch and multi-touch functionality. Despite Microsoft's significant in-roads with Tablet PC's and Windows Mobile, they haven't made a good enough effort to market it. Apple has. Microsoft, during the 90's, was an excellent marketing AND technology company. Under Ballmer, they have suffered in the marketing department. Ironic since Ballmer, last I checked, was originally the marketing leader for Microsoft. Go figure.
Hooray competition! :)
