3rd Graders Plot Attack On Teacher. 3rd Graders?

  This is the kind of stuff that makes you sit back and say "yep, there is really something wrong with our society".

  3rd graders, nine in all from a Waycross, Georgia elementary school, devised a plan to knock the teacher out, handcuff her and then stab her with a broken steak knife.

  Authorities were alerted by a student with apparent good upbringing.

"You can't dismiss it," Tanner said. "But because they are kids, they may have thought this was like a cartoon — we do whatever and then she stands up and she's OK. That's a hard call."

"Some of the kids said, 'We thought they were just kidding,'" Currie said. "Another child was supposed to bring a toy pistol, and he told a detective he didn't bring it because he thought he would get in trouble."

Some of the children ranging in ages 8 to 10 are now facing juvenile charges.  Of course the others have been expelled or suspended.  Oh the shame.

The plot was hatched because the children did not like the fact that the teacher scolded them for standing on their chairs.

This is absolutely crazy.  And it starts with the demonization of popping a kid up side the head when they deserve it.  Now kids get there video games taken away for them for a week so the kid can plot with friends to kill the parents because of it.  Yes, that happened late last year.

Really, this nation is in for a big awakening in 20 years.  The absences of loving discipline coupled with the widening glorification of violence is producing 3rd graders devising elaborate plots to do harm because they can't have their way.
