I'm in no way a fan of Oasis, but I did find this pretty funny. Speaking about the upcoming line-up at this years Glastonbury, the UK's yearly "Woodstock", Oasis Guitarist Noel Gallagher lashed out over the decision to put Jay-z on the line-up.
"If it ain't broke don't fix it. If you start to break it then people aren't going to go. I'm sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance.
Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music and even when they throw the odd curve ball in on a Sunday night you go 'Kylie Minogue?'
I don't know about it. But I'm not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong."
Ticket sales have slumped a bit for this years festivities and some believe that the infusion of acts like "Kylie Minogue and Jay-Z" are the reason.
Promoters aren't too happy with Gallagher's comment and are defending the line-up adding that "Jay-Z was a "great crowd puller".
It would seem that American Political speak sneaks into all aspects because umm, this festival usually sells out within hours of sales announcements. So far only a 100,000 tickets have been sold.
