Let's hope that turns out to be false, but my sources are very good so I have to trust what I've been told. The reason the Sprint BB Curve didn't hit its April 15th mark, or a few days later as I was told months ago, is it has been delayed. Yeah, I know, no duh. But try delayed by 3 whole months. Yes, that's right, it looks like Verizon will be getting to the punch well before Sprint. Word is Sprint won't be giving us Curve love until summer.
Again, let's hope this is not true, or turns out they can get out much sooner than that. But when I hear, you'll hear too.
Refurb Package is the name of the game if you are on or are thinking about jumping onto AT&T, and you're not doing it for the iPhone.
You can grab yourself a refurbished Curve, Blackjack II or HTC Tilt for free, zilch, nada. All you need do is be new to AT&T or extend your contract. Just when you tried to get out......
This is an online only deal so don't jump in your gas guzzler.
Here's a slick little theme for your BES/BIS Blackberry Curve.
As you can see the theme is pushed a tad bit more for the business minded BB user. So if you're looking for a less busy theme to wake up your Curve, this one might be for you.
Minimum Requirements: OS 4.2.2
$5.00
Despite our best sources with a wealth of insider intelligence, we were wrong. Missed it by that much. Everything pointed in the direction of April 15th as the Sprint BB Curve day of reckoning. Even when rumors began to surface about a possible delay, we were unmoved, unshaken, steadfast and resolute in our stated date. Ooops.
But fret not. The all black BB Curve is still slated to arrive on the network with the "Simply Everything" plan sometime this month. A whole couple of days before Verizon.
We will stay the course.
The fight between India and RIM over the security features that prevent the Indian government from spying on its citizens, has heard it's final bell today.
India has dropped restriction on any Indian carrier supplying Blackberry and Blackberry services. Any message sent between two or more Blackberries must be blocked until RIM and the government can come up with a viable workaround. The two entities are to meet again for discussions on April 21st.
Its strange to hear in a public forum a discussion over a government blatantly wanting to tap its citizens phones.
Oh wait..... Isn't this happening in the land of the free right now?
Man is it great when you've got a double -not - secret phone to articulate, pontificate, speculate and yes even mast..... over.
The BlackBerry 9000 has a few folks wow'd and anxious over it, others are a bit ehh. I fall right in the middle. Looks good, seems like it's going to have some nicer features, but it's not ground breaking.
But something new has been thrown into the BlackBerry 9000 stew. According to some rumors floating out there, the BB 9000 will have a front facing video camera. A front facing video camera? On a Blackberry? That phone of choice for business?
That I'll believe when I see it.
Like most rumors
19,500 Blackberries will soon be in the hands of 19,500 FBI flat foots, but Mulder and Scully won't get theirs. And that's a shame because they worked so hard for the bureau.
Verizon has been tapped to provide the worlds secret agents from American soil with 19,500 8830 world Edition Blackberries.
But I have to wonder, since the FBI is also known as the men in black will Verizon change its somewhat conspicuous silver world Edition to a more inconspicuous secret agent black?
If you haven't tried Googhelper for Blackberry I suggest you give it a whirl on your favorite BB device. If you're not using OperaMini, which I suggest, and or you read opening the BB Browser just to do a search, Googhelper is exactly what you need.
Googhelper sits in you applications as a program. When you need to do a search open it, choose to search the Web, Mobile sites, Images, Shop, News, Stocks, Maps, Gmail, Groups, Software, Books, Wikipedia and off you'll go.
A nice little time saver. $4.95!
